Terms of Service

Last updated 1 June 2026 · Draft pending legal review

1. Who we are

AfriInfra (afriinfra.net) is operated by Mediacarte (PTY) LTD, trading as AfriInfra ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the AfriInfra platform, its data, AI tools and emails.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate details, keep your password and sign-in codes private, and tell us at once if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

3. Credits and plans

Credits are bought in USD and charged in South African Rand through PayFast. Every credit costs USD 0.39 on Starter, with bonus credits and lower rates on bigger packs. Credits are used for AI analysis and premium features. Your largest single purchase sets how many projects you can view: Starter 10 (2 per region), Growth 25, Plus 50, Pro 125, Business 250 and Enterprise all. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

4. Use of information

Project information is for your own internal evaluation. You may not resell, republish, scrape, bulk-export or share it with third parties, or use it to build a competing service. Project summaries emailed to you are confidential and must not be forwarded outside your organisation.

5. Institutional access

Full dossiers are only for institutions we approve. We may decline, limit or withdraw access at our discretion, including if details provided are inaccurate.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break security, overload the service, reverse-engineer it, upload malicious content, or use the platform for unlawful purposes, including corruption or sanctions evasion.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its design, software, analysis and compilations belong to us or our licensors. Public-source facts remain public; our selection, structuring and analysis of them are protected.

8. No advice

Nothing on AfriInfra is investment, legal, tax or engineering advice. See our Data Disclaimer. You must do your own due diligence before any decision.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. Nothing limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed or shown in the app. You may close your account at any time. We may end or suspend the service for breach of these terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of Gauteng have jurisdiction.
